A historic Kentucky distillery and one of the most revered names in American whiskey. It was opened in 1935 and is lauded for the wheat recipe bourbon produced for its Old Fitzgerald and W.L. Weller brands. Its name lives on through these labels, however it has been closed since 1992.
A historic brand of wheated Kentucky straight bourbon. It is marketed by the Sazerac Company and produced by them at their Buffalo Trace distillery. The label was created by W.L. Weller & Sons and became one of the flagship brands of the Stitzel-Weller distillery when it opened in 1935.
A company formed by the merger of A. Ph. Stitzel and W.L. Weller & Sons following the repeal of Prohibition in 1933. It opened the Stitzel-Weller distillery in 1935, producing a wheat mash bill bourbon for its Old Fitzgerald, W.L. Weller and Cabin Still brands.
