Samaroli Collection 1979

This legendary bottling company was established in 1968 by Silvano Samaroli, Bologna, Italy.

Samaroli has produced hundreds if not thousands of single cask independantly bottled whiskies, many of which are highly acclaimed.  This is an iconic collection from the first bottlings released under the Samaroli name, in 1979.  These bottles are all numbered and rarely ever seen at auction, let alone as a complete collection such as this.

The collection contains six whiskies all bottled in October 1979:

  • Glen Elgin 1965 14 Year Old, bottle number 68.
  • Mortlach 1957 22 Year Old, bottle number 24.
  • Macallan 1962 17 Year Old, bottle number 95.
  • Glen Grant 1969 9 Year Old, bottle number 84.
  • Highland Park 1957 22 Year Old, bottle number 55.
  • Springbank 1964 15 Year Old, bottle number 16.

Please note that these bottles are all in various conditions and the fill levels do vary greatly, please take a very close look at the condition.  Further images can be provided for these bottles and any successful bidder will be liable for the condition as shown in these images.  Contact us for these images.

These whiskies had been stored with parafilm around the seal before being auctioned, to reduce the evaporation.  When this was removed a number of the bottles did carry an aroma of whisky and we therefore want to highlight our terms and conditions that any successfull buyer is responsible for any leakage that may occur in transit with this lot.

Important: Currency exchange rates are constantly changing; this feature is to be used as a guide price only. All final transactions occur in British Pounds (£).
Important Notice

Please be advised that the absence of any specific condition reports does not imply that this bottle is in perfect condition. We recommend close inspection of all images prior to placing any bids, and any further information required can be provided upon request.

Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
