Cardhu 12 Year Old Pure Malt
A 12 year old single malt from the home of Johnnie Walker.
There was a time when the term "pure malt" was used regularly, Diageo got into hot water when they began to mix the Cardhu 12 year old single malt with other Speyside malts. There was issues with little change to the packaging and the Scotch Whisky Association felt that this may mislead customers. Read more here.
This bottle is from that pure malt phase and is an interesting piece of whisky history.
