Knochdhu distillery normally produces light mellow spirit, these newer expressions are named after peat cutting tools and have a flavour to match.
The bottle clearly shows the PPM (phenol parts per million) of the liquid in the bottle which when tasted may force you to re-evaluate what you think you know about peatiness.
The Flaughter is 14.8ppm but has a large peaty flavour that overshadows most Island whiskies.
