1 Hazelburn 1997 Fresh Rum #02/232-7 / Cask in storage at Springbank
This cask of Hazelburn single malt spirit was distilled in 1997 and is currently maturing at a bonded warehouse at Springbank Distillery.
First distilled in 1997, Hazelburn is the triple distilled single malt produced at Springbank distillery, and is named after the distillery of the same name, mothballed in 1925. Although very popular, Hazelburn remains an elusive whisky. Like Longrow, their peated single malt, it makes up 10% of the annual production at Springbank each year, resulting in around 100 to 150 casks. The first bottlings of Hazelburn were released in 2005.
Fresh Rum cask #02/232-7 was regauged on 15th February 2022.
This equates to 116 bottles at cask strength.
*IMPORTANT NOTICE: The buyer of this cask must arrange to remove the cask from Springbank Distillery within 90 days of the auction ending.
The buyer of any cask which is stored at this location must have an existing account with the company that owns the warehouse.
Please note if the new owner is a UK revenue trader (business), they will need to be registered with HMRC and hold a WOWGR certificate.
If they are a revenue trader outside the UK, they will need to have a Duty Representative in the UK (the Duty Rep would be registered with HMRC and there is usually an annual charge for their services).
