Old Weller Original 107 Barrel Proof 7 Year Old 1960s
W.L. Weller is the original wheated bourbon.
This bottling was produced at the famous Stitzel-Weller distillery and is a great example of the "gold vein" bottles produced around the late 1960s/70s. Distilled prior to Pappy Van Winkle's death in 1965, the "Original Proof" is likely derived from the fact that prior to 1962 bourbon produces could only barrel at 110 proof, 107 was very close to this at hence was choose for branding purposes.
We would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids. If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please contact us for a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen in the images.
Please note: Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
