An 'over 5 years' old single malt from Speyside distillery, Glen Grant.
Distilled in 1963, this was imported to the Italian market by long time collaborator Armando Giovinetti.
Founder of famed importers Giovenitti & Figli, Armando was Glen Grant's Italian agent in the 1960's, and his hard work meant the distillery was the first single malt to take off in an export market. He heavily promoted the 5 year old expression, believing it was best suited to compete with Grappa as the Italian spirit of choice. Todayt Glen Grant is still the best-selling (by volume) whisky in the country.
