Old Charter 11 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon 1970s / Binocular Bottle
This is an old 1970s bottle of Old Charter Kentucky Straight Bourbon. During this period, the brand was owned by Schenley and produced at the Bernheim distillery in Louisville.
This is an interesting presentation, with a bottle shaped like a set of binoculars and an accompanying leather carry case.
When United Distillers acquired Schenley in 1987, they sold off many of its distilleries and brands. In 1999, Bernheim became the new home of Heaven Hill, and the old Charter Brand was bought by the Sazerac company who still make it today at Buffalo Trace.
We would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids. If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please contact us for a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen in the images.
Please note: Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
