Macallan 1981 18 Year Old
First launched in 1984, the official Macallan 18 year old is an absolute classic of the whisky world. Distilled at the famous distillery in Speyside and fully matured in sherry oak casks from Jerez in Spain.
Distilled in 1981, this was was bottled in 1999. The 1981 vintage was the first 18 year old to feature revamped packaging, adding a blue border to the labels. The expression was also presented in a tube instead of a box, although it retained the famous Sara Midda watercolours of Easter Elchies house.
