Yamazakura 9 Year Old Cask Strength / Sherry Cask
Produced by Sasanoawaru Shuzo a long standing sake and shochu producer in Koriyama.
In 1946 they were granted a licence to begin production of whisky. Like many Japanese distillers whisky sales flagged through the 1980s and 90s, and they ceased production in 1998 to focus on sake and shochu.
Thankfully with the recent renaissance of Japanese whisky the brand has sprung back into existence and is creating new releases such as this 9 year old pure malt which has seen maturation in sherry oak and is bottled at cask strength.
We would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids. If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please contact us for a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen in the images.
Please note: Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
