Uitvlugt GM 'Port Mourant' 1974 Cadenhead's 30 Year Old
Uitvlugt distillery was once among the largest distilleries in Guyana, however it closed in 2000 as the government set about privatising the distilleries and plantations. All of the remaining stock, and many of its stills were moved to Diamond.
Confusingly this was one of a number of such mergers and relocation, with still sets (often with quite distinctive characters) moving from one site to another over time and spawning a plethora of Cask Marks.
This is a GM mark Guyanan rum, bonded in 1974 and bottled 2004 by Cadenhead's. What this actually means is that this was produced at Uitvlugt distillery on the wooden double pot still original housed at Port Mourant before relocation Albion, then to Uitvlugt and finally to Diamond where their spirit is still referred to by many as Port Mourant.
We would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids. If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please contact us for a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen in the images.
Please note: Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
