French Rhum 1883 Flask
A fantastic piece of distilling history.
Though not replete with information what we can say is that the wax seal is embossed with "188Ɛ* Rhum FUTG1Ɛ*0" and that the liquid is filled in a glass bottle encased in wicker.
We surmise that this is likely an Agricole Rhum from the French Caribbean, filled in 1883 possibly from Fût/cask G130
There is no volume stated but we estimate the volume to be between 1 and 1.5 Litres
*An apparent typographical error resulting in the 3 being embossed backwards
Shipping will be charged at 2 bottles on this lot.
We would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids. If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please contact us for a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen in the images.
Please note: Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
