Mortlach 1971 The Singing Stills 47 Year Old
Released in April 2019, this beautifully presented bottle was available exclusively through online registration with wine and spirit merchants, Justerini & Brooks. It is the oldest distillery expression Mortlach have ever released.
The title of the bottle comes from Mortlach's copper stills which during the distillation process generate a "whimsical" hum.
This well aged malt, drawn from one of three refill American oak hogsheads which are the final 1971 vintage casks from the distillery.
Bottled at 46.8%, this is one of 94 presented in beautifully hand-blown crystal bottles.
The bottle number of this particular lot has been obscured at the request of the seller. This will be made available to the buyer.
We would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids. If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please contact us for a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen in the images.
Please note: Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
