Glengoyne 1969 'Just Excellent' 39 Year Old Decanter

A fantastic Glengoyne single malt, laid into cask on 24th May 1969, the same month that Ian Good started work at Lang Brothers.

This elegant decanter was bottled by his colleagues at Edrington over 39 years later to commemorate his Knighthood for services to Scottish Industry.

Just excellent!

This bottle has been very kindly donated by the family of Trina Glen to raise funds for the Beatson Cancer Charity.

From David Glen:

"Trina was Strategy Director Edrington at the time of her untimely death in November 2009. She joined Edrington in May 1994 as The Company Accountant for Lang Brothers.

A high intellect, matched with an appetite for hard work and a strong determination marked out Trina as she progressed through various roles leading to the position of Financial Controller in Robertson & Baxter.  As part of this Trina worked on the acquisition of The Highland Distillers Co by The 1887 Company in 1999. Teamwork and a sense of fun were other key attributes that contributed to her formidable skill set.

After a period as Finance Director of Highland Distillers Trina took on the role of Commercial Director responsible for worldwide sales & distribution. Her success in this arena led to her elevation to The Edrington Board as Strategy Director in 2008. The first female executive director since Ms Ethel “Babs” Robertson.

The Family of Trina Glen are delighted to support The Beatson Cancer Charity which provide hope and help throughout the cancer journey."
