Rosebank 1989 Beatson Single Cask 29 Year Old / Bottle No. 1 of 1

A truly unique bottling and an incredible act of generosity, this Rosebank is the first ever release by the distillery's new owners, and soon-to-be resurrectors.

From Ian Macleod Distillers:

"This is a rare bottle from the now closed Rosebank Lowland Single Malt Distillery.  The whisky was drawn from Cask No: 2477 and hand-filled into a one-off decanter specifically to support Ian Curle's auction for the Beatson Cancer Charity. Rosebank Distillery was closed in 1993 and very few casks remain.  This decanter was bottled straight from the cask at natural strength of 48.2% vol."

Cask #2477 was distilled on 15th November 1989 and was bottled on the 4th of July this year. Bottle number 1 of only one, it is presented in a stunning Glencairn Crystal decanter with lined presentation box.

The lot also includes a duty paid sample bottle, provided to us unsealed by the distillery.

Important Notice

We would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids. If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please contact us for a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen in the images.

Please note: Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
