Brora 1978 40 Year Old / 200th Anniversary
A spectacular and luxurious bottling of Brora, distilled in 1978 and unveiled in 2019 to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the distillery.
Originally known as Clynelish, the distillery started producing a heavily peated malt when a new distillery was built next door, the distillery which is now known as Clynelish.
A few years after being renamed as Brora, the distillery ceased production in 1983 but is now one of the most sought-after names in the world of single malt whisky.
The liquid was drawn from 12 refill American oak hogsheads, and is limited to just 1819 bottles.
We would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids. If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please contact us for a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen in the images.
Please note: Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
