Kilchoman 2006 Single Bourbon Cask #26 / Distillery Exclusive - Signed by John Maclellan
A youthful early bottling of single cask Kilchoman, back in the days of the narrow-necked bottle.
Opened in 2005, Kilchoman was the first new distillery to be built on Islay for 124 years. Its proprietors are the Wills family, and the distillery saw a return of the practice of “farm distilling” to the island, with its own barely fields, malt floors and kilns. Today around 25% of its barley requirement is self-fulfilled, and in 2011 they bottled their first 100% Islay release of single farm, single malt. The distillery’s first release came in 2009, and it has cemented a fine reputation ever since.
Bourbon cask #26 was filled in 2006 and bottled just a few days after its fifth birthday in 2011. This was exclusively available at the distillery gift shop.
Signed by distillery manager John Maclellan.
We would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids. If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please contact us for a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen in the images.
Please note: Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
