Choice Old Scotch Whisky James Williams 1940s 13 1/3 Fl.Ozs
The following lot is for a very interesting and rare bottle of Scotch whisky from around the time of the Second World War.
Interestingly the whisky for Choice Old was produced in Scotland but blended and bottled in Narberth, Wales. This is a practise which is illegal today if you wish to refer to your product as Scotch Whisky. For over 100 years James Williams Ltd blended and bottled whisky, rum, brandy, and port in the south Welsh town. The Choice Old name continued into the 1970s but was eventually discontinued. After a £500,000 restoration, today the warehouses of James Williams are a living museum in honour of him, his company, and the local community.
We would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids. If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please contact us for a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen in the images.
Please note: Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
