Samaroli Evolution Blended Malt 2012 / LMDW

A blended malt which consists of some incredible single malts slected by Samaroli. The whiskies included are from across Scotland and range from a 1957 vintage Mortlach, through to a 1997 Jura.

Samaroli are perhaps Italy's most revered independent bottler of Scotch whisky. With an impeccable taste in single cask whiskies, and an eye for aesthetics (if not English spelling at times!), founder Silvano Samaroli is regarded by many as a visionary. Since his passing in 2017, the company has been run by his friend Antonio Bleve, who continues his tradition of high quality releases. Many of Silvano’s early bottlings occupy deserved spots on the pantheon of all-time whisky greats.

One of 330 bottled for La Maison du Whisky, Paris in 2012 from selected cask #4.

La Maison du Whisky, aka LMDW, was founded in 1956 by Georges Benitah and is now one of the largest whisky and rum importers and distributors in France, and known the world over. They opened their first shop in Paris at the legendary 20 Rue d'Anjou in 1968, importing their first Scotch malt whiskies in the 1970s. They are known for their expertise in not only Scotch, but Japanese whisky and rum too, and their collaborative bottlings, as well as their own independent labels are highly prized.

See main label image for a full breakdown of the contents of this blended malt.
