Château Lafite-Rothschild 1970 Pauillac
This incredibly highly-acclaimed estate in the Bordeaux appellation of Pauillac, was one of only four to be granted First-Growth status in the original publication of the famous 1855 Classification of Medoc.
Of the wines of Paulliac, Ch.Lafite-Rothschild is arguably the most sought after. Their vineyards are planted with 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot, with an average vine age of close to 40 years.
