Karuizawa and Kawasaki Ghost Series #7 / Time Slip

We are very excited to offer this bottle within our exclusive Karuizawa auction which runs from Wednesday 5th April to Monday 17th April.

Karuizawa produced outstanding whiskies, many of which have received international acclaim. They have released almost 300 single casks which are becoming increasingly rarer and rarer as demand soars.

This limited bottling is a blend of Karuizawa Malt and Kawasaki Grain whiskies that were blended in the late 1970s, rested in neutral glass containers and then forgotten about for over 3 decades.  This rested spirit was rediscovered in 2014 and transferred to an ex-Karuizawa sherry butt for a period of finishing (or "ACEing) until bottling in 2015.

Aged in ex-Karuizawa single cask #6432, which yielded 282 bottles.  This is Bottle No. 71.

The label features the print 'The Ghost of Taira no Tomomori Appears at Daimotsu Bay' from Yoshitoshi's 'New Forms of 36 Ghosts'.

Important Notice

We would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids. If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please contact us for a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen in the images.

Please note: Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
