Font-Borne 1940 Heritage 70 Year Old Cognac
A sadly silent Grande Champagne house which was founded in 1850 by the Jobit family. The name holds a high reputation amongst cognac lovers who are now finding it harder to source with each passing year. The modest house spanned across 12 hectares and incredibly never exported its wines outside of France. Clients of the producer included a few select restaurants and even included the multi award winning Restaurant Le Taillevent of Paris.
This impressive vintage was distilled in wartime 1940 and aged for a staggering 70 years.
We would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids. If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please contact us for a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen in the images.
Please note: Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
