The Bain’s Cape Mountain Whisky 21-Year-Old
Founder Distiller Andy Watts has pioneered many South African whisky firsts, including the country’s first single grain whisky. After a stint learning the art of whisky making at Morrison Bowmore Distillers in Scotland, Andy was appointed as only the sixth Master Distiller of The James Sedgwick Distillery in Wellington since its inception in 1886.
The whisky started life as Bain’s Cape Mountain Whisky and spent an additional ten years in older.American oak before transferred to seasoned Amontillado and Manzanilla sherry casks for a final six years’ maturation.
We would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids. If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please contact us for a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen in the images.
Please note: Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
