Bodegas Del Romeral was founded by Don Félix Azpilicueta Martínez in 1888, making the winery among the earliest in La Rioja. Subsequent mergers resulted in the founding of A.G.E. Bodegas Unidas (United Wineries of Azpilicueta, García and Entrena).
