Chichibu 2009 Ichiro's Malt 'The Floor Malted'
Ichiro Akuta is the grand-son of the founder of the famous Hanyu distllery. In 2007, he built a new whisky distillery, 100km northwest of Tokyo. Located near Hanyu, the local climate (humid summers and cold winters) provides excellent maturing conditions for whisky. Even though it is a young distillery, Chichibu continues to release exceptional whiskies.
