Vintage Tour at Highland Park Distillery and One Night's Stay at The Orkney Hotel for 4 People

This experience offers the winning bidder a Vintage Tour of Highland Park distillery and two double rooms for a single night's stay at The Orkney Hotel, located just a short walk away from the distillery in Kirkwall.

The tour at the distillery will start with a short film about Orkney and the origins of the Highland Park brand, accompanied by a dram of a distillery exclusive single cask. This will be followed by a tour of the distillery hosted by one of the senior tour guides. It will include a visit to Warehouse 12 where guests will get the rare opportunity to sample whisky straight from the cask.

After the tour, guests will be guided through a tutored tasting of four spectacular Highland Park Vintages - 1968, 1970, 1971, and 1976 – all in front of an open fire in the stunning Eunson Room. They will also receive the following gifts:  tasting glass, signed and framed certificate following the tour, and a book about the long history of our special distillery.

Tour booking times: Monday to Sunday at 10.00am and 2.00pm and must be booked in advance. Please allow 3 hours to complete the tour. The winning bidder will be provided with details to arrange the tour and to book transfer between St Magnus Cathedral in Kirkwall and the distillery.

Dating back to 1670, the Orkney Hotel offers every modern convenience, while retaining its original features and charms. Ideally situated in the town centre, the hotel is minutes from the magnificent St. Magnus Cathedral, Bishop’s and Earl’s Palaces and award-winning local jewellery shops. The infamous UNESCO World Heritage Site of Skara Brae, and Maeshowe and the Ring of Brodgar are an easy 25 minutes drive away. We are ten minutes drive from Kirkwall Airport.

The hotel's Royal Cask Whisky & Gin Bar features over 1,000 whiskies, 160 gins and a wide selection of wine and local draught ales.

Offer is based on availability. Black-out dates apply so please contact hotel for availability. The offer expires on 24.09.2022.
