Charitable Giving

Whisky Auctioneer charitable giving

Since our first auction back in 2013, we’ve supported and raised awareness for a wide range of charities and causes. We continually look for opportunities to support those looking to undertake charitable fundraising through our auctions and this has led to more than £750,000 being generated through our online auctions for causes including the Australian bushfire crisis, MND Scotland, Street Soccer UK, and Islay Defibrillators to name a few.

During the global COVID-19 pandemic, funds were also raised for local causes and health funds in Scottish communities and the hospitality industry which has been especially hard hit by the crisis.

Last year, Whisky Auctioneer worked in partnership with the Islay Pollinator Project, donating some of the proceeds from our Islay Festival Auction to the funding of a beehive and visitor information boards at their site on the island.

SPECIALIST CHARITY AUCTIONS

Whisky Auctioneer is the industry leader in conducting specialist auctions and our team has extensive experience working in partnership with individuals and charities to maximise fundraising opportunities and support key messages.

In September 2019, Whisky Auctioneer worked with the Scotch Whisky Industry to host a specially curated auction to raise awareness and funds for Beatson Cancer Charity. The auction raised a record-breaking £371,950 (this includes 100% of the buyer commission donated by Whisky Auctioneer) which simultaneously led to the highest figure raised for Beatson Cancer Charity by a single fundraising event.

COMMUNITY SUPPORT

Whisky Auctioneer are passionate about supporting causes that make a positive difference to people's lives as far spread as possible. Not only do we assist with charitable lots in our auctions, but it is also in our strategic plan to give back to the community.

For example, we have recently been able to provide donations to the Scottish Crannog Centre in Kenmore as well as the Women of the World Festival in Perth.
