The spirits division formed in 1987 by Guinness PLC following its acquisition and merger of the Distillers Company with its former competitor, Arthur Bell & Sons. The company had extensive whisky holdings in Scotland and the United States.

A distiller and independent bottler, founded in 2013 as the Black Isle Whisky Company in 2013 by Simon and Philip Thompson. It opened the Dornoch distillery in 2016, producing its own single malt whisky and gin which it markets using the Thompson Bros brand name.

A company established by Billy Walker in 2017 to acquire the Glenallachie distillery. It markets the Glenallachie single malt brand alongside the MacNair's Lum Reek and White Heather blends.

A former subsidiary of William Cadenhead, established to manage its Aberdeen branch after J&A Mitchell acquired the company in 1972 and moved it to Campbeltown. It handled much of the company's physical bottling and also worked the likes of Samaroli and Corti Brothers to produce exclusive bottlings.

Berry Brothers & Co was the predecessor to the famous London wine merchant, Berry Brothers & Rudd. The company has an important lineage in Scotch whisky and notably introduced the Cutty Sark blend in 1923. It changed its name when it was reincorporated as a limited company in 1943.

The operational subsidiary of the Whyte & Mackay Group that manages the production and ageing of its whisky, as well as the blending and bottling of its various brands. It was set up in 2003 following a restructuring of former parent company, Kyndal International. It is now part of Alliance Global.
