A distillery with a turbulent history, punctuated by numerous ownership changes. It is currently part of the Pure Scot Ltd holdings of Australian entrepreneur and yoghurt mogul, David Prior. Although historically operated for the provision of blends, it is now focussed on its single malt brand.

A legendary Italian import company, founded in 1984 as a partnership between Nadi Fiori and the Turatello brothers. The former was in charge of selecting the casks while the latter dealt with distribution. Its bottlings were provided by Gordon & MacPhail and labelled with Fiori's own designs.
