A Campbeltown malt distillery that originally operated between 1872 and 1925. The site was acquired by J&A Mitchell in 2000 and re-opened four years later after extensive renovation and rebuilding. As the distillery name was still trademarked by a former owner, its single malt is sold as Kilkerran.
Kilkerran
The brand name used by J&A Mitchell & Co to market single malt produced at the Glengyle distillery in Campbeltown. It was introduced in 2009 via a series of Work in Progress releases before its proprietary 12-year-old debuted in 2016.
