Bruichladdich
A single malt distillery on the isle of Islay, currently part of the whisky holdings of French company, Rémy Cointreau. The distillery's flagship brand of single malt is a non-peated style, however it also produces peated variants called Port Charlotte and Octomore, as well as The Botanist gin.
Octomore
A brand of single malt Scotch whisky produced at the Bruichladdich distillery on Islay. Introduced in 2008, it is offered in regular unique batch releases that contain spirit distilled with barley routinely malted to between 80 and anywhere up to 300ppm.
Distillery Bottling
Distillery Bottling is a term used to define a whisky bottled by the company that produced it, using the official branding of the distillery itself. This is also known as an "official bottling" or sometimes shortened to OB.
