A single malt distillery on the isle of Islay, currently part of the whisky holdings of French company, Rémy Cointreau. The distillery's flagship brand of single malt is a non-peated style, however it also produces peated variants called Port Charlotte and Octomore, as well as The Botanist gin.
A brand of heavily-peated single malt Scotch whisky produced at the Bruichladdich distillery on Islay. It is named after a long-lost neighbouring distillery that closed in 1929 and is produced using malted barley peated to 40ppm. The brand debuted in 2006.
A company established in 2000 and currently a subsidiary of the French multinational, Rémy Cointreau., who bought it in 2012. It owns the Bruichladdich distillery on Islay and markets its eponymous single malt brand, peated variants called Port Charlotte and Octomore, and The Botanist dry gin.
