An Islay distillery that developed a cult status following its closure by Distillery Company in 1983. Originally only providing fillings for blends, its single had become hugely sought-after by the turn of the 21st century, so much so in fact that it was re-opened again by Diageo in 2024.
A brand of independently produced single cask Scotch whiskies, originally produced by Douglas Laing & Co for the Duke of Buccleuch & Queensberry, whose official residence gives the brand its name. Responsibility for the label was passed to Hunter Laing & Co in 2013.
A trading named used by Hunter Laing & Co to bottle its Hepburn's Choice and Distiller's Art brands of independent single cask Scotch whiskies. It was first introduced in the 1970s by Douglas Laing & Co to market export blended Scotch brands, also appearing on its Douglas of Drumlanrig labels.
