Beam, Inc. was established in 2011 when Beam Global Spirits & Wine - the alcoholic beverage division of Fortune Brands - was split from its parent company and reorganised as an independent, publicly-traded company.
Its whisky holdings included brands and distilleries across America and Canada, as well as an extensive Scotch whisky portfolio. In 2014 it was acquired by Japanese multinational, Suntory Holdings, and the company was re-established as its spirits division, Beam Suntory.
