The Distillers Agency was a blending company set up by the Distillery Company Limited in order to manage its export operations. Among these were its eponymous D.C.L. blend as well as the Highland Nectar and King George IV brands. The company was one of many former DCL operations dissolved by its successor, United Distillers, in 1993.
In addition to its blended Scotch portfolio, at various points The Distillers Agency was the licensee of the Talisker and Rosebank distilleries and bottled single malt brands for both.
An export Branch is established by Distillers Company in South Queensferry, Scotland.
Trademarks are registered for King George IV, Highland Nectar and D.C.L. blended Scotch brands.
The Distillers Agency is incorporated to take over the business of the export branch.
Distillers Company is acquired by Guinness PLC.
United Distillers is formed and later takes over the Rosebank distillery license from The Distillers Agency.
The Distillers Agency Ltd is dissolved.
