Giovinetti Intercontinental Brands

Giovinetti Intercontinental Brands was the first import and export business established by the legendary Armando Giovinetti in Italy. Originally a hotelier, Armando visited Glen Grant distillery on a trip to Scotland in 1961 and was so impressed, that he set up the company to begin importing its single malt.

Armando and the company are hailed as the progenitor of the single malt boom that swept Italy in the subsequent decades, and Glen Grant was the nation's best-selling brand for many years. A new company, Giovinetti & Figli was established in the 1980s.
