Springbank Society

The Springbank Society is a private members club of Springbank enthusiasts who over the years have had exclusive access to many single cask bottlings from Springbank distillery.

This 1998 vintage was bottled in May 2006 from a single refill sherry butt which was filled in May 1998.

This was initially matured in refill oloroso butts for 23 years, and finished for a further three years in PX hogsheads.

Unusually, the outturn quantity was decided by the registered interest of society members themselves, yielding a total of 485 70cl bottles and 197 35cl bottles.
