This version of the brand's Whisky Maker's Edition expression is from the Six Pillars collection, the result of a collaboration with X-Ray photographer Nick Veasey. The brand's Six Pillars are the six facets that Macallan believe set them apart from Scotland's other distilleries; Spiritual Home, Curiously Small Stills, Finest Cut, Exceptional Oak Casks, Natural Colour and Peerless Spirit.
Launched in late 2011, the artwork originally featured on limited edition cartons for the brand's core range Sherry Oak 12 Year Old expression, and were eventually re-used for versions of their Fine Oak 12 Year Old and this travel exclusive Whisky Maker's Edition.
