This incredible bottle of Ardmore single malt was given as gifts for and from the directors of Wm. Teacher & Sons for Christmas 1950. Although there is no mention of Ardmore on the label, whisky writer Emmanuel Dron had it confirmed at the distillery in 2013 that this is indeed a single malt bottling. He was also lucky enough to sample the dram.
A malt whisky distillery located in the Highland region of Scotland. It was built by Adam Teacher at the end of the 19th century in order to service the blending needs of his family company, Wm. Teacher & Sons and is today the distillery is part of the portfolio Suntory Global Spirits.
Distillery Bottling is a term used to define a whisky bottled by the company that produced it, using the official branding of the distillery itself. This is also known as an "official bottling" or sometimes shortened to OB.
