This Arran was distilled in March 2008 and matured in single bourbon barrel #2008/023 for 15 years. It was bottled in February 2024 as part of the distillery's Premium Cask series, and made exclusively available via ballot to Arran's private members club, The White Stagg.
Please note that although the declared bottle yield on the label states 246, we are informed that the true total is 231.
One of two malt whisky distilleries owned by Isle of Arran Distillers, Lochranza was the first to be opened in 1995. The distillery's flagship single malt brand is the Arran label and although it now only distils a non-peated whisky, it has historically produced peated single malt as well.
The flagship single malt brand of the Lochranza distillery on Arran. Originally launched as The Arran Malt in 1998, it was renamed simply as Arran in 2019. Although its core range has always been a non-peated whisky, some occasional limited releases of peated single malt have also been produced.
Distillery Bottling is a term used to define a whisky bottled by the company that produced it, using the official branding of the distillery itself. This is also known as an "official bottling" or sometimes shortened to OB.
