Shiki Kacho was the first ever limited edition Hibiki 17 year old. It predates both the sought-after Phoenix and Egret editions, and is the rarest of the three.
A blend of over ten malts and grains, first released by Suntory in 1989. The recipe features whiskies from Yamazaki, Hakushu, and Chita, all aged in five types of cask. The the bottle famously always has 24 facets representing the 24 seasons of the Japanese lunar calendar.
A historic Japanese whisky company, originally founded as Torii Shoten in 1899. It was renamed Kotobukiya in 1921, and again to Suntory after its flagship whisky brand in 1963. It has since become one of the world's largest spirits multinationals and was renamed Suntory Holdings Ltd in 2009.
