A former malt whisky distillery that was the second legal operation to be built on the Orkney isles. It was established in 1817 and notably marketed a single malt brand called Old Orkney, a label maybe better recognised as O.O. While the brand lives on, the distillery was closed down in 1927.
A historic Scotch whisky brand that was originally used to market whisky from the now lost Stromness distillery on Orkney. Noted for its O.O motif, it was revived by Gordon & MacPhail in the 1990s and 2000s before being acquired by Decadent Drinks in 2020.
Distillery Bottling is a term used to define a whisky bottled by the company that produced it, using the official branding of the distillery itself. This is also known as an "official bottling" or sometimes shortened to OB.
