The 12 year old Special Reserve is one of the original products bottled by Julian Van Winkle III at his facility in Lawrenceburg. He first bottled it in 1991, using 1979 vintage Stitzel-Weller bourbon, a one-time release called 'Lot A.' The subsequent and inaugural release of the Lot B was bottled the same year, and has been a permanent part of the range ever since.
A historic Kentucky distillery and the oldest still operating in the state. It is the flagship production facility of the Sazerac Company and in addition to its eponymous straight bourbon, also produces a host of brands such as Pappy Van Winkle, Col. E.H. Taylor, Eagle Rare, Weller and Sazerac Rye.
A brand of American whiskies, first released by the Commonwealth Distillery Co in 1984. Iterations are divided between the Family Reserve and Special Reserve ranges, which are currently represented by a 13- and 12-year-old rye and bourbon, respectively. They are both now distilled at Buffalo Trace.
A historic American spirits company established in 1869 by Tomas H. Handy. It is headquartered in New Orelans, Louisiana and has distilleries in the US states of Kentucky, Virginia, Maine and Tennessee, as well as in Canada and Ireland.
