Yamazaki Story of the Distillery 2025 Edition
Yamazaki
The oldest single malt whisky distillery in Japan, founded in 1923 by Shinjirō Torii. It is still owned by his company today, now known as Suntory, and its single malt which was bottled for the firs time in 1984 is hugely sought-after. It also provides fillings for blends such as Hibiki.
Suntory Limited
A historic Japanese whisky company, originally founded as Torii Shoten in 1899. It was renamed Kotobukiya in 1921, and again to Suntory after its flagship whisky brand in 1963. It has since become one of the world's largest spirits multinationals and was renamed Suntory Holdings Ltd in 2009.
