Arran Tokaji Aszu Wine Cask

This limited edition Arran single malt was released in 2007. The whisky spent 8 years in traditional oak casks before being transferred to a selection of Tokaji Aszu wine casks for 7 months. Isle of Arran Distillers sourced the Hungarian oak barriques directly from producers in Hungary, where they held the wine regarded as "King of Wines" for three years.

One of two malt whisky distilleries owned by Isle of Arran Distillers, Lochranza was the first to be opened in 1995. The distillery's flagship single malt brand is the Arran label and although it now only distils a non-peated whisky, it has historically produced peated single malt as well.
